Amalfi’s summer of jazz

If you enjoy jazz music, then summer 2017 is the perfect time to visit Amalfi.

While the Amalfi Coast is well known for its idyllic coastal scenery and sea views, the pretty town of Amalfi is also known for a different reason: as one of South Italy’s best locations for jazz music! This summer, starting on 7th July 2017, Amalfi will host a number of jazz music events in Piazza Duomo, making it the perfect destination for a last-minute summer holiday if you enjoy jazz music.

As a part of these great jazz nights in Amalfi, which are being organised by Napoli Teatro Festival Italia, the Rosália De Souza 6tet, the Antonio Onorato Trio, and Marco Zurzolo and the Jazz Quartet will be performing. There will also be a wonderful “Amalfi in Jazz” exhibition in Piazza Duomo, which is free to visit, before the final concert on July 28th, featuring Gegé Telesforo with Soundz for Children – United Musicians for UNICEF. As a part of this special performance, Gegé Telesforo will be joined live on stage by Alfonso Deidda, Seby Burgio, Joseph Bassi and Dario Panza.

When: Musical performances will take place on July, 7, 14, 21 and 28, each beginning at 9pm

Where: Piazza Duomo in Amalfi (at the foot of the staircase in front of the Duomo)
